Dag 24. Ruili til
Dali, Kina 425 km

Fremme i Dali,

får helt sikkert mere for pengene her, (hvad hotel angår) end i Indien.
Vores hotel

8th June, distance
425 km, driving time 6 hours
Left Ruili, at 9.30 am, after a Chinese breakfast.
The Chinese have their lunch for breakfast, and since nobody
spoke any English, we had great fun at breakfast.
Super, super, super High speed highways. 6 lanes, and these
guys do know, how to build highways. What a change it made in my mood and me,
to zip along these highways and through tunnels at 130 km/hour.

We reached the ancient town of Dali , which was build in 1380 AD. Very
disappointed with the structures, as they have destroyed the whole old town by
making them into shops. As a result, it became an old town, shopping spree.

The Chinese love to poor concrete into everything.
The trend here is, that the young babes walk around with
flower wreaths, on their heads. Very colour full and pretty, and of course they all wanted a picture with
Susanne.
We left the new turned old town, and then drove to our hotel
after intensive fruit shopping.
Mummy would be very jealous, as I bought Mangosteen and
other exotic fruits.
Fruits, fruits - Frugt, frugt, frugt

Our beautiful hotel (Erhai Holiday Inn), was by the Erhai Lake ,
and we had fantastic views, from our room on the 18th floor.
Had dinner at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the lake,
and enjoyed our selves teasing the waitresses again.
